CH ARVAL THEODORE ou la naissance du Type PEPEJAS

This red-white male is ENG CH Arval Theodore ( Cronberry's Sergeant Major x Arval Juliana) and was born 17 Nov 1968 and was bred by Mrs S Stock, England.

Why this legendary dog catched my eye today ? Well look that sweet head and expression. All of us here in scandinavia who remember the top winning papillons from the Pepejas kennel, bred and owned by Mrs Marie-Louise Stegfors-Dahlberg, Sollentuna, Sweden, can surely see the same type of this dog and many of the Pepejas from the 80's and 90' s ? Marie-Louise imported Arval Wickliffe who was a son of Theodore and the very first Pepeja puppies were born that time out of the bitch INT NORD CH EJA and Wickliffe. Does the pretty Pepeja heads come here, i dont know but made me an old man to smile to find that same look again.

Another very interesting international breed note is that ENG CH Arval Theodore has also strong influence behind Ellis Hulmes Tongemoor papillons. His important stud CH Pierre of Oakridges was actually a Theodore son and he really nicely linebred to him producing one of the most beautiful british papillons ever.
